There shall be two steams of law course leading to LLB. Degree viz, a five-year and a three year Law course for the purposes of enrolment as advocates as perscribed under the rules by the Bar Council of India.

The Five-year BA, LLB. Integrated Course

Adminssion Criteria

The Five year Law Course after 10 + 2 or 11 + 1 comprises two parts viz. Part I which is a two-year programme of pre­law study and Part II which is a three-year programme of professional training in law.

Elibibility
  • At the time of joining the course of instruction in Law or a degree in Law the person concerned must have passed the examination in 10 + 2 course of schooling recognized by education authority of the central or state governments or possess academic qualifications which are considered equivalent to such 10 + 2 courses by the Bar Council of India, securing at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination. Admission is based on merit. The College also conducts interviews of all applicants before admitting eligible candidates as students.
  • No students are allowed to keep terms for two different degree courses simultaneously in the same academic year.
  • Applicants should satisfy themselves that they fulfill the eligibility requirements in terms of educational qualifications and age etc. The percentage of marks secured by a candidate at the qualifying examination, falling short by even small fraction, shall not be rounded to the next whole number.
Attendance

The Student shall be required to put in a minimum attendance of 75% of the lectures on each of the subjects as also atthe moot courts and practical training courts.


The Three Year LLB. Course

A student who after passing the graduation examination of this university or any Indian university incorporated by the law for the time being in force or any other examination recognized by the university with at least 45% of marks on the basis of merit shall be eligible for admission to LLB first semester of the Three-year Law Course. The college also conducts interviews of all applicants before admitting eligible candidates as students.

Examination for the Degree of LLB. Three Year course shall consist of six semester examinations in three years. A student clearing all the six semester examinations shall be conferred the degree of LLB.
